Happy Mother's Day to You

Happy Mother's Day Weekend! Yes that's right, weekend! Us mamas need to celebrate all weekend long! So pull out the whine and cheesecake and let's do this!

God has blessed me with so many mamas and they are all wonderful! I have had the privilege of having a biological mother who loves me despite not being able to raise me herself. I have a step mother who adores and loves me with zero conditions. I have my auntie Jessica who has always loved me like her very own. I have a mentor mama, Deb, that never stops teaching me what being a woman after God's own heart looks like. And lastly, my two beautiful grandmothers who showed me so much about strength and rising above.
Each of these women have taught me so much through their individual lives that they live so beautifully. Even though my biological mom was not there God gave me so much loving mamas and geez I am grateful

I can't believe I am celebrating Mother's Day for the 3rd time! I gave birth to my lil Mr. Noah in 2014 and he has been lighting up my life ever since. I really can't believe I am now a mama of two! My lil guy Uriah has been sweetening up our lives these past (almost) 6 months! Oh what gifts they are to me each and every day.
Being a mama definitely has its challenges, but something about those challenges makes me feel so much stronger. The crazy thing is I often feel so weak. I don't get any sleep and I spend a lot of time trying to convince my 2 year old I am right. My sweet baby is a pooping machine who has this crazy idea that 5:45 a.m. is an ideal wake up time. Sometimes I wake up feeling like I absolutely cannot do this...

..."But He said to me, "My grace is all you need, for My strength is made perfect in your weakness." So now I am glad to to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me." 2 Corinthians 12:9

In all the craziness of motherhood there is so much grace. Being a mother has brought me closer to God in so many ways because I realize my constant need for him. In the midst of our weakness, He is strong. When we feel like we can't keep going, His grace is sufficient. He is beautiful and we are His.

Mamas, we are so beautiful and so worthy of this day of celebration.

Happy Mother's Day beauties! You are so loved

With Lots of Love, Jalyssa
