Seasons {Denim x Denim x Denim}

This weather is kind of annoying. When I think of May, I think of warm and sunny... ALWAYS!
Lately it has been kind of warm, and then a little chilly, then it will rain, oh and then it is super hot. My life has pretty much been the same. It's been good, then crazy, then ok, then great, and lately it's been kinda sucky. You see I have had these expectations for my life, expectations for God to respond when and how I want Him to. Kind of like my expectations for the weather.  The difference is when the weather gets a little chilly, I can just throw on a denim jacket. Where is that denim jacket to cover up all the cold parts of life? Because lately I have felt like God is leaving me hanging and I am getting pretty chilly.
Then I realized something about my God, He is constant and He never changes. Unlike the weather, He remains the same and He is always good. Sometimes knowing that truth doesn't make the sucky season feel much better. But knowing that truth gives a ton of hope for the seasons to come. Kind of like a long snowy winter. It seems a little easier to endure when you know the summer is going to be warm and sunny.
So in this confusing weather and even more confusing season of life, I will grab a denim jacket and believe the Word of God. I guess you can say the Word is my covering and I know as long as I'm under it, I will keep warm in the storm. Seasons come and seasons change and only He remains.

God is not a man, so He does not lie.
    He is not human, so He does not change His mind.
Has He ever spoken and failed to act?
    Has He ever promised and not carried it through?
-Numbers 23:19

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
-Hebrews 13:8

With Love, Jalyssa
