{Guest Blog}
Hey beautiful ladies! My name is Gabby Colbert and I am a new mom to my sweet girl Adley! I have been married almost 2 years to a wonderful man and we are currently living in Utah because of the military. I've known Jalyssa since 2012 when I met her in Germany and we instantly clicked. She's such an encouragement to me and an amazing woman of God. I enjoy reading her blog so when she asked me to guest star on it, I jumped at the opportunity to share my knowledge. I'm a licensed cosmetologist and I have a lot of experience in the realm of beauty. So most of the time, if you're a mom, you're looking for ways to cut corners because let's face it, our life isn't about just us anymore. We need our beauty routine to be simple but still look like you didn't just roll out of bed. So, the key here is to have products that multitask and keep up with all the activities of the day! This routine should take you about 10 minutes in the morning and you can add a couple extra steps if you have time. So let's jump into this!
  Before you begin anything, cleanse and moisturize your face! This is crucial to help your makeup go on smoother. I also apply an eye cream but that is optional.
First, apply a primer with clean hands. This one is a brightening, and smoothing one from Tarte. It's going to provide a nice base for your face products and help it to adhere to your skin better all day.
Second, apply a BB cream in dots all over your face and blend out with a sponge or brush. The purpose of a BB cream is to correct, protect with SPF, and provide coverage and moisture to the skin. It truly is a multitasking product which is going to make your routine fast! If you want a lot of coverage, I would not recommend using a BB cream, but use an actual foundation. However, you may find it takes more time in your routine, so plan accordingly! I use the Maybelline BB cream but everyone has their own preference.

 Look at the difference already!
 Lost sleep last night after your little one had a nightmare? Never fear! I apply concealer under my eyes in an inverted triangle shape and dab it out with a sponge again. I use the Bye Bye Undereye from IT! Cosmetics because it brightens my dark circles and covers up the dullness. Bonus! It has anti-aging ingredients in it! Three in one 😍

 Make sure you go with a concealer that is one-two shades lighter than your skin tone so it gives the eye area a brighter look.

Quick! With the excess product on your sponge, dab it on hyper pigment spots, acne, or redness.

 Set your face with a translucent powder to make sure your makeup stays in place through the play dates and grocery store trips. It's also going to provide a smooth canvas to apply blush so it doesn't become streaky. I set my face with IT! Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed powder. My brush is Real Techniques.
 Blot the powder all over your face with a fluffy brush and don't drag it because you will lose your coverage. Dab it under your eyes to set your concealer so it won't crease!

 Step 5, apply blush in small circles on the apples of your cheeks and move towards the temples. Take a little bit at a time and build up the color to your liking.
 Optional: if you're like me and love a good highlighted cheek bone, then dust your favorite strobe powder on the tops of your cheeks for an added glow!
 Step 6, apply a TINTED brow gel! This is awesome because if you have no time to fill in your brows, the color in this will make them appear thicker and filled in and the gel part will hold your brows in place all day. Two-in-one! This gel is by Ulta Beauty and it runs for about 5$.
Don't have time to apply eye shadow primer AND color? No fear. Maybelline 24 Hour Tattoo eyeshadow provides a nice shimmery base for your eyes that lasts all day! Step 7, dab this on your lids and all the way up to the brow bone.

 Step 8, apply a matte shadow into your crease area for extra depth and dimension!

Step 9, apply a mascara to your fabulous lashes and bat them at your hubby after you ask him to do the dishes!

Step 10, apply a lip STAIN! This stain is by Younique. It's amazing because it lasts through all the baby kisses and coffee sips and it doesn't dry your lips out.
 There you have it folks! 10 steps in 10 minutes! I hope this helps all you mommas out there trying to feel like a woman on a time crunch. Just know that if you do not do all or even any of the step above, you are still an amazing woman and you still glow from within because you have been given the amazing title of Mom. You do the work of 10 and sacrifice so much! Makeup is just a way for us to feel put together and feminine. Remember this: 1 Peter 3:3-4 says "Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God." Peace and blessings!
